As opposed to having animals in the house as I am, I agreed to let Luke have a fish as his first pet.  Poppy took him to pick it out as one of his Christmas gifts when they were here.  Luke named him Mario.  We’ve had Mario for about 2 weeks now and we’re thrilled he’s still alive.  He has survived the overfeeding, little hands trying to catch him in his bowl, and a little flop into the kitchen sink during a bowl cleaning.  I think he’s a tough little guy.
